Audi A4 / A6 2.4 V6 APS / ACK / AAH Engine

The APS (2.4L), ACK (2.8L), and AAH (2.8L) engine codes belong to a family of naturally aspirated V6 petrol engines used in various Audi A4 and A6 models during the 1990s and early 2000s. Since these are older engines, finding a used replacement is the most common option. 

Engine code specifications

  • APS (2.4L V6): Used in the Audi A6 (C5 chassis) from approximately 1998 onwards.
  • ACK (2.8L V6 30V): This 30-valve (5 valves per cylinder) V6 was used in the Audi A4 (B5 chassis) and Audi A6 (C5 chassis). It offered more power than the earlier AAH engine.
  • AAH (2.8L V6 12V): The older 12-valve AAH engine was used in the Audi A4 (B5 chassis) and earlier A6 models.
